A lot of thought and effort has gone into the construction of the Highway 99 Blues Club. From the downtown location, the building it's in to the interior decor which includes photos from nationally recognized blues photographers. Our state of the art distributed sound system provides great audio all over the room.

• Decor - We wanted to capture the flavor of southern juke joints when we did the interior of the club. To this end we used Birney Imes' book , "Juke Joints" which has photos of these classic bars. The interior includes a 34 foot bar made from five antique second hand doors, reclaimed blue velvet benches from the old Masonic Temple, pool tables and a fireplace. |
| • Concept / Setting - The building that is home to the Highway 99 Blues Club was built in 1909. It provides the "old timey" feel that you get when you walk in the door. |

• Artwork -The walls of the Highway 99 Blues Club are graced by photos from some of the best blues photographers in the country. Jef Jaisun, Phil Chesnut and The Sheriff are all professional blues photographers that have an extremely impressive body of work. Here are some examples of their work. |
• Sound and Stage -The Highway 99 Blues Club is all about the music. So we have installed a state-of-the-art, distributed system that provides great sound to every corner of the room. The enormous stage is centrally located in order to provide up close, intimate interplay between the artists and the audience. |

• Hours - We're open 6pm-1am Monday and Tuesday, 4pm-2am Wednesday through Friday, 6pm-2am Saturday. We are normally closed on Sundays, but we do open for shows on some Sundays (check the Calendar page for listings). | • Cover Charge - On the weekends ranges from $10 - $20 depending on the act. Please check our calendar for details. |

• Directions - We are located at 1414 Alaskan Way on Seattle's waterfront across the street from the Aquarium. The club is under the viaduct between Union and Pike streets just south of the Pike Street Hill Climb.

| • Parking - There is plenty of on-street parking near the club that is free after 6pm. Just north of the club is even more street parking. Also, there is a parking lot south of Union street that is a short walk to the club. |

| • Capacity - The Highway 99 Blues Club can legally have up to 250 people inside. |

| • Midweek Music Format - During the week we have a different type of music each night. See the calendar for more information. |

• Tuesday - The Scarlet Tree All-Stars, literally the second coming of a Seattle rhythm & blues institution, led by the house band of ex-Reputations with a revolving cast of weekly guests featuring the finest players in the Puget Sound area. |
